Dane Carlson’s Business Opportunities Weblog

Dane Carlson’s Business Opportunities Weblog is the largest business blog on the web, boasting traffic numbers of over a million visitors a month. As a feature article on the site, Dane catches up with Dan Portnoy on his thoughts on the project and how it all came together.

Dan Portnoy wanted to make a movie. So, instead of spending his days dreaming about what it would be like to be a big-time Hollywood director, or studying the minutia of filmmaking and watching movies in his basement, he made one. And it’s good. Plus, as you’ll read in my interview, it has an inexpensive and innovative distribution system. I think that his story should be an inspiration to everyone here, even if you’d rather invent something or sell a service because it shows what happens when you just get out there and just do it!

After a lot of hard work, countless meetings and phone calls – release day is finally here. Abandon Films has had the lions’ share of work on this project and they have responded masterfully. There professionalism, attention to quality and detail are that of a company that’s been in the “business” for decades. I can’t say how much I’ve appreciated their cander and honesty during this project. Please check out the project and then shoot the guys at Abandon Films some feedback.
